Cometic BMW M30B34 82-93 93mm .098 inch MLS Head Gasket 535i/635i/735i

Comprised of multiple embossed layers of stainless steel with the outer layers utilizing a Viton rubber coating. Compressed operating thickness is 0.098". Cometic MLS (Multi-Layer Steel) Head Gaskets provide maximum sealing performance for todays high output engines and require no sealants. MLS gaskets are ideal for both aluminum heads to aluminum blocks and aluminum heads to cast iron blocks. They can withstand the shearing force created by the two materials. MLS gaskets have increased strength because they are comprised of multiple layers of stainless steel; which also creates the ability to rebound and resist corrosion. The outer layers are embossed and coated on both sides with Viton (a flour elastomer rubber based material that is heat resistant to 250 C/ 482 F). Viton is designed to meet the demands of a variety of harsh sealing environments, load conditions, and surface finishes. The center or shim layer is uncoated stainless steel, which can be varied to accommodate multiple thickness requirements. BMW M30B34/M30B35 .098in. MLS Cylinder Head Gasket; 93mm Bore
  • The embossed outer layers of the gaskets meet the demands of a variety of harsh sealing environments, load conditions, and surface finishes
  • The center or shim layer is an uncoated stainless steel layer which can be varied to accommodate multiple thickness requirements
  • Requires less clamp load creating less bore distortion
  • Conforms load distribution across the sealing area
  • Embossed Outer Layers Coated w/Viton

The Cometic Gasket BMW M30B34 MLS Head Gasket is engineered for high-performance applications on a range of BMW models from 1984 to 1993, including the 535i and 635CSi. Crafted with multiple embossed layers of stainless steel, this gasket combines durability and superior sealing capabilities. The outer layers are coated with Viton, a heat-resistant elastomer rubber that withstands temperatures up to 482°F, ensuring reliable performance in harsh engine environments. The compressed operating thickness is 0.098 inches, providing a precise fit that maintains proper compression and sealing integrity under demanding conditions. Designed for both aluminum and cast iron engine blocks, the MLS (Multi-Layer Steel) construction efficiently withstands shearing forces generated by different materials, preventing leaks and ensuring long-lasting performance.

The gasket's design promotes even load distribution across the sealing surface, reducing bore distortion and enhancing engine longevity. Its uncoated stainless steel shim layer can be customized to meet specific thickness requirements, offering flexibility for engine modifications. The embossed outer layers, combined with Viton coating, help the gasket endure various load conditions, surface finishes, and sealing environments, making it an ideal choice for high-output engines. This gasket requires less clamp load, which minimizes bore distortion and maintains a consistent seal throughout engine operation. Suitable for multiple BMW models with a 93mm bore, this gasket provides a reliable sealing solution for enthusiasts and professionals seeking to restore or upgrade their engines efficiently.
