CSF 65-73 Porsche 911 / 74-89 Porsche 911/930 Turbo Engine Oil Cooler

One of the goals of the CSF 911/930 Engine Oil Cooler was to have a single unit that could fit both older (65-71) and newer models (72-89). The solution may seem simple, but engineering the two upgraded stainless steel fittings so there was no oil flow restriction took some extra design work. CSF took some inspiration from the CSF 911/930 Turbo Fender Oil Cooler (CSF #8168) using a similarly designed "Widemouth Fitting". The threaded M30 "Widemouth Fitting" for the 65-71 models maintains the optimized inner diameter (ID) of the oil pipe to maximize flow through the oil system. The "Widemouth Fitting" offers 50% greater flow capacity over the OEM connection. The machined in-house Stainless Steel fittings offer increased strength and durability over the OEM Aluminum slip-on tube (72-89 models) and threaded M30 fitting (65-71 models). Both OEM connections are common sources of leaks. CSF also includes two high quality copper crush washers to offer the best possible seal and prevent any leaks. CSF offers the best and most advanced Oil Coolers on the market. So when it comes to keeping your engine oil temps down as you push your Porsche 911 / 930 Turbo hard on the street or track, a CSF Oil Cooler is the obvious choice. The CSF #8242 Cooling product is designed to be a "Drop-In Fit" application. The product will install in the OEM Location with no modifications necessary unless otherwise noted or instructions are included in the product package. Please see the manufacturer repair manual for standard installation instructions. If you do not feel confident installing this product CSF recommends taking it to a qualified installation facility.

The CSF #8242 Engine Oil Cooler is designed to provide optimal cooling performance for Porsche 911 models spanning from 1968 to 1989. This versatile cooler features a comprehensive design that fits both early (1965-1973) and late (1974-1989) models without requiring modifications, making it an excellent upgrade for street or track use. The cooler incorporates stainless steel fittings with an upgraded M30 Widemouth design, inspired by CSF’s high-performance turbo fender oil coolers. This design maintains the inner diameter of the oil pipe, ensuring a 50% increase in flow capacity over OEM connections, which helps reduce engine oil temperatures during hard driving conditions. The machined stainless steel fittings offer enhanced strength and durability compared to OEM aluminum components, providing a reliable seal with included copper crush washers to prevent leaks. The core features a modern tube and fin design that improves heat dissipation and reduces pressure drop, contributing to better overall oil system performance. The CNC-machined mounting plate utilizes a helix pattern for added strength and is pocketed for lightweight efficiency, ensuring a secure fit and long-term durability. Finished with a Cerakote titanium coating, the cooler not only looks modern but also provides additional heat dissipation benefits. This combination of performance features and OEM-level craftsmanship makes the CSF #8242 a superior choice for enthusiasts seeking a high-quality, high-performance oil cooling solution that replicates the original Behr specifications. Installation is straightforward with a true drop-in fit, requiring no modifications unless specified, and the product is backed by a 10-year warranty, ensuring confidence in its longevity and performance. OEM features are meticulously replicated in the cooler case and billet mounting plate, offering a high-performance recreation of the original Porsche Behr oil cooler at a fraction of the cost of new OEM units which can be scarce and expensive. Whether for daily driving, track days, or rallying, this oil cooler helps maintain optimal engine oil temperatures, supporting the longevity and reliability of your Porsche 911 or 930 Turbo engine.
