The sPOD BantamX Add-On is a compact, expandable 8-circuit power distribution and accessory control system designed for existing sPOD controllers. This add-on unit does not include a controller; at least one compatible sPOD controller must be connected for proper operation. Part BXUNI36ADD includes 36-inch battery cables and provides a clean, organized way to power and control 12VDC or 24VDC accessories without cutting into the vehicle wiring, fishing multiple wires into the cab, or tapping the factory electrical system. A single Ethernet cable can connect the unit to the cab, simplifying installation and reducing wiring clutter.
The BantamX features eight circuits rated for up to 30 amps each at 12.5VDC, a 16-position terminal block for accessory connections, two RJ45 controller ports, and an 8-position input terminal block for switch control. Up to four BantamX units can be daisy chained and operated through one sPOD touchscreen. Built-in Bluetooth supports wireless control through the free sPOD Mobile App, while on-demand wireless software updates help keep the system current. Current-sensing MOSFETs and microprocessor control eliminate the need for conventional relays and circuit fuses, while integrated protection helps guard against overheating, over-current conditions, short circuits, reverse polarity, and field collapse.
An integrated low-voltage cutoff helps protect the battery and includes an optional override, with an ATM mini-style fuse supporting LVCO protection and reset. The system also includes a 100-amp inline fuse, ignition control, and optional safety lockout for switches one and two. Its powder-coated steel base, aluminum lid, silicone weatherproofing gasket, and robust insulated construction are designed for demanding automotive, off-road, utility, and powersports applications. The universal BantamX Add-On offers flexible mounting options and a practical solution for managing aftermarket lighting, compressors, radios, winches, and other electrical accessories through a centralized digital control system.
