The connection between the 8 Circuit System and the touchscreen uses a standard Ethernet cable that is 10 feet long.The sPOD Touchscreen is a resistive touchscreen – meaning unlike most smartphones, it works based on pressure. A stronger touch is necessary for it to respond. This type of touchscreen is very common in industrial electronics, like what you may find for many vehicle touchscreens. Designed for use with BantamX and compatible 8-circuit systems, this universal touchscreen can be installed as the primary controller or added as a second touchscreen for convenient access from another location. It is not compatible with sPOD 6-circuit systems.

The controller features a 3.5-inch LED-backlit TFT LCD display with 320 x 240 resolution, 16.7 million colors, and a wide viewing angle. Its billet aluminum housing provides a durable, professional appearance, while the included universal mounting bracket simplifies installation. A standard Ethernet-style control cable connects the touchscreen to the 8-circuit system, reducing wiring complexity and helping streamline installation. This version includes a 10-foot cable.

The sPOD touchscreen uses resistive-touch technology, which responds to applied pressure rather than the light touch used by most smartphones. This design is well suited to industrial and automotive applications, but a firmer touch may be required for operation. As with all sPOD power and control solutions, the system is built around automotive-grade, high-power components engineered for dependable vehicle use.

This touchscreen is intended for installation inside the vehicle cabin and is not weather resistant. Do not expose it to rain, water, or other liquids, as moisture can damage the display and void the warranty. The display may become inoperable when ambient temperatures fall below 45 degrees Fahrenheit; allow the vehicle cabin to warm before operating the controller. The sPOD SPO860800 provides centralized control of up to eight circuits while helping reduce installation time and harness complexity.
