The sPOD BantamX Touchscreen control system provides a clean, programmable way to power and manage 12V or 24V DC accessories in the 2007-2018 Jeep Wrangler JK. Designed to reduce wiring and installation time, the system connects the control unit to the cab with a single Ethernet cable, eliminating the need to cut, fish wires, or tap into the vehicle’s factory electrical system. The BantamX features eight independently controlled circuits, each rated for up to 30 amps at 12.5 volts DC, with expansion support for up to four daisy-chained BantamX units operated from one touchscreen. A 16-position terminal block simplifies accessory connections, while the 8-position input terminal block supports output control. Built-in Bluetooth enables wireless operation through the free sPOD Mobile app, including programmable dimming and strobe functions. On-demand wireless software updates and upgrades help keep the system current.
Safety and protection are integrated throughout the system. Current-sensing MOSFETs and a microprocessor replace conventional relays and accessory fuses, while failsafe self-healing fault protection handles conditions from 1.5 to 30 amps. The BantamX also includes low-voltage cutoff battery protection with an optional override, a 100-amp inline fuse, and protection against overheating, over-current, short circuits, reverse polarity, and field collapse. Optional ignition control and safety lockout are available for switches one and two.
The hardware includes a powder-coated steel base, insulated cover, silicone weatherproofing gasket, and an aluminum lid secured with a thumb screw. Silkscreened outlines assist with placement of the supplied switch legends, and universal or vehicle-specific mounting options support a range of installation configurations.
