QA1 Coilover Shock and Spring Packages offer a convenient, easy to order, pair of shocks and their corresponding springs.  These kits combine our best-selling Proma Star shocks with powder coated springs into one package that makes ordering more convenient and streamlined.  Also included are a set of spanner wrenches and thrust bearings to make your ride height adjustments and ensure you have everything you need to finish the job. EASE OF USE Single adjustable shocks feature simple shock tuning.  Simply firm or soften the ride quality with the turn of the 18 click adjustment knob. IMPROVED DRIVING EXPIERIENCE Tune your shocks firm for a track day or spirited driving, or soften them up for a comfortable cruise. TYPICAL USES Great for street cars, cruisers, or casual track day enthusiasts. RIDE HEIGHT The shocks should measure between 13in.-13.5in. from center of eyelet to center of eyelet when at vehicles desired ride height. More kits are available with other shock length options. The QA1 Proma Star Series Coilover Shock and Spring Kit, part number qapDS44-200, provides a convenient suspension upgrade for street cars, cruisers, and casual track-day vehicles. This universal package includes two single-adjustable Proma Star shocks, two powder-coated 200 lb./in. coil springs, spring hardware, spanner wrenches, and thrust bearings. By combining the shocks and springs in one package, QA1 simplifies ordering and provides the essential components needed for installation and ride-height adjustment.
Each shock features an 18-click adjustment knob for straightforward tuning of ride quality. Firm the shocks for track days or spirited driving, or soften the settings for a more comfortable street-driving experience. The shocks can be installed in either orientation, with the body positioned up or down. They provide simultaneous adjustment of rebound and compression valving to help balance handling performance and ride comfort across a variety of driving conditions.
This kit uses shocks with an 11 1/8-inch compressed length and a 15-inch extended length. At the vehicle’s desired ride height, the shocks should measure approximately 13 to 13 1/2 inches from the center of one eyelet to the center of the other. The kit includes 10-inch free-length springs with a 200 lb./in. spring rate, recommended for vehicles with a 1,100- to 1,300-pound solid-axle weight. This spring combination is not typically intended for independent suspension applications. Additional QA1 kits are available with alternate shock lengths and spring rates.
The shock eyelets measure 1 1/4 inches wide and include mounting sleeves for 1/2-inch and 5/8-inch hardware. Spanner wrenches and thrust bearings are supplied as standard equipment, and the kit is backed by QA1’s Limited Lifetime Warranty for added confidence.
