This system features the 4-piston, S4 caliper mounted to a 13", 2 piece slot, drill, zinc-plated rotor. The S4 caliper has D.O.T compliant dust and weather seals and uses the popular DR1-C pad type. Rotors are pre-assembled with NAS high grade stainless hardware. Baer’s unique backing plate not only acts as a caliper mount, but also houses a modern 1-piece park brake shoe assembly. Stainless braided hoses and hardware are also included. The 13" SS4+ fits most 17” or larger wheels. The kit is designed for vehicles using a 5 x 4.5-inch or 5 x 4.75-inch bolt circle and typically fits most 17-inch or larger wheels.
The S4 caliper features hard-anodized aluminum pistons, stainless steel abutments, noise-suppression clips, and D.O.T.-compliant dust, weather, and pressure seals. Its powder-coated finish provides durable protection, while the DR1-C pad type delivers reliable friction performance. Rotors are pre-assembled with NAS high-grade stainless hardware for convenient installation and long-term durability. Each caliper is CNC machined from U.S.-sourced forged or billet aluminum and manufactured in Phoenix, Arizona.
Baer’s integrated backing plate serves as both a caliper mount and the housing for a modern one-piece parking brake shoe assembly. Stainless braided brake hoses and installation hardware are included, providing a complete solution for upgrading the rear braking system. The two-box kit is intended for automotive applications and carries a California Proposition 65 warning.
