The APR Intake System lets your engine breathe! This closed design rejects power-robbing heat from the engine bay thanks to the high heat deflection material used in the intake's design. It provides an unrestrictive path for cold, dense air fed from outside of the engine bay to maximize power. We use a high flow filter that provides excellent filtration without the restrictions, which keeps the engine clean while optimizing power delivery. On the flow bench, we recorded a 31% increase in CFM over the factory airbox, and a 24% increase over the total system. This translates to a sharper throttle response, lessened strain on the turbocharger, and more horsepower and torque. The system is an excellent value. It installs in minutes, looks fantastic, delivers a sporty engine note, and is recommended at all stages of performance.The APR Intake System is modular. It connects to the factory turbo inlet piping, and provides substantial gains. Those looking to complete the system can opt for the optional APR Turbo Inlet pipe to increase flow over the smaller factory turbo inlet piping. Our inlet pipe is a continuous massive pipe that connects to the turbocharger via a port-matching silicon coupler. The PCV system conveniently connects to the intake via a billet aluminum adapter. Lastly, the system uses a flex coupler that allows adequate engine movement and flex. Models with Secondary Air Injection (SAI) require a breather filter (CI100020-A).

The APR CI100039 Intake System helps Audi and Volkswagen EA888 1.8T and 2.0T engines draw cooler, denser air while reducing the heat soak associated with open engine-bay intake designs. Its high heat-deflection material and closed airbox construction create a protected airflow path from outside the engine bay to the turbocharger. APR recorded a 31% increase in airflow over the factory airbox and a 24% increase over the complete factory system on a flow bench, supporting improved throttle response, horsepower, torque, and turbocharger efficiency.
The reusable pleated cotton gauze filter provides strong filtration with reduced restriction to help protect the engine while maintaining efficient airflow. The modular APR design connects to the factory turbo inlet piping and can be upgraded with the optional APR Turbo Inlet Pipe for additional flow. A billet aluminum PCV adapter provides a secure connection, while the flexible coupler accommodates normal engine movement. All mounting hardware is included, and the system is designed for straightforward installation with a sporty engine sound and a clean, performance-focused appearance.
This APR intake fits select Audi TT and TT Quattro, Volkswagen GTI, Eos, Tiguan, Tiguan Limited, CC, Beetle, Jetta, and Passat applications from the listed model years. Additional adapters may be required: the Audi TT uses adapter CI100020-D; the CC, Passat, and Tiguan use adapter CI100035-C; and Beetle, Jetta, and Passat models equipped with the EA888 Gen 3 engine use adapter CI100020-E. Vehicles with Secondary Air Injection require breather filter CI100020-A. Verify engine configuration and application before ordering. The APR CI100039 is EPA compliant and carries CARB Executive Order D-783-8.
