The built-in air intake scoop captures cold air directly from the top of the radiator support thanks to its huge opening. Lightweight twill weave carbon fiber with red Kevlar tube directs the filtered air from the massive air filter to the engine. It is computer designed and dyno tested to increase air flow while reducing weight and enhancing the visual appearance of the engine bay. The tube is manufactured out of carbon fiber and red kevlar material (No fiberglass). Designed for 3.5L V6 twin-turbo applications, this open-element air intake system combines a lightweight red Kevlar and carbon fiber intake tube with a high-flow washable Pro 5R air filter. The system is engineered to improve airflow to the engine while creating an aggressive induction sound and adding a distinctive performance appearance to the engine bay.
The open-element XLPE polymer housing surrounds the large air filter while helping shield it from heat and unwanted contaminants. Its integrated air intake scoop draws cooler air from above the radiator support for improved inlet-air management. The black Pro 5R filter uses five progressively finer layers of cotton gauze media and an inverted top to provide excellent filtration, high airflow, and extended service intervals. The filter is washable and reusable, making it well suited for both street and track use.
The CAD-designed, dyno-tested intake tube is manufactured from carbon fiber and red Kevlar rather than fiberglass, reducing weight while directing filtered air smoothly toward the engine.
