This aFe POWER Pro 5R air filter is a 7” tall, pre-oiled, 360-degree radial flow performance air filter with five layers of progressively finer cotton gauze media for maximum performance. It provides your engine with the largest amount of high-flowing air, usually resulting in the highest power gains out of all our filter media options. This media is perfect for street and/or track use. One piece 3 IN mandrel-bent wrinkle-black powder-coated aluminum intake tube directs unrestricted airflow from the massive filter to the turbo for more horsepower and torque. aFe developed this sturdy 18 gauge steel wrinkle-black powder-coated heat shield to mount onto the top of the lower half of the factory airbox to provide a hassle-free installation utilizing factory mounting locations. The aFe Power Rapid Induction Cold Air Intake System with Pro 5R Filter is designed for 2015-2021 Volkswagen GTI models equipped with the turbocharged 2.0L four-cylinder engine. Part number 52-10020R replaces restrictive factory intake components with a high-flow system engineered to improve airflow to the turbocharger. By helping the engine draw in a greater volume of cooler, less restricted air, this intake may support improved horsepower, torque, throttle response, and overall engine performance.
The system includes a Pro 5R pre-oiled performance air filter featuring five progressively finer layers of cotton gauze media. This washable and reusable filter is designed for high airflow and is well suited for street or track applications when properly maintained.
